After a grueling regular season and a tough 1st round, four teams will look to see if they can get that LIGA Championship that so few people have!!

In which will be a battle, SERVE has been all business in how they play; however HIT THAT TOO defeated its rival, and has been playing lights out; Who will move on to its first ever LIGA Final?

      Which team will have enough in the tank to finish the night as 2014 Winter Champs and be featured at our "CHAMPIONS PARTY?"

LIGA Champion will be crowned tonight; Scouting Report, Which teams are leaving / going?

Can MICHELLE repeat?

With the top 4 teams making it to the Final 4, this is sure to be the toughest tourney in YMCA Volleyballiga history; Here's the recap of last week and the keys to each team winning tonight, as each team truly has a chance of hoisting the Championship tonight.

Last week 1st round Recap:

(3) CHAOS defeats (6) SOME LIKE IT HOT -
CHAOS showed its championship mettle against HOT by pulling out a late W as this series was back and forth the entire night. CHAOS scored the last 5 points to secure the win.

(4) MICHELLE defeats (5) BALL BUSTERS -
In the most intense series of the night, MICHELLE took the last 6 points of the game and the series as it went down to the wire....Can the champs repeat?



                                                    LIGA 4 Semifinal Matchups -

(1) ID HIT THAT vs (4) MICHELLE - 6pm

 HIT THAT has been playing on another level, but just last season, MICHELLE slayed the team who was 2 wins away from a perfect season and won the LIGA themselves; Can they do it again? Or will HIT THAT be the team that can do what they did in regular season and dominate?

(2) VINI VEDI VOLI vs (3) CHAOS - 6:50 pm
V3 has looked very strong in the later stages of the season, and desperately wants to win that LIGA title that eluded them last spring. CHAOS also feels like they could stake claim as well as they have been in the top 3 since week 2...With over 6 LIGA Championships between the two teams, this game will ultimately come down to one thing - who wants it most.


LIGA Finals - 7:30 pm
Who will battle thru to get here? And once they get here, which team will have enough fuel in the tank to grab the 2014 Winter LIGA Championship in probably our most competitive season in history?

LIGA Reg Season over; Final Standings; Who are the teams to beat in our Thursday League?

Here's our Final Standings for the West Carrollton YMCA Volleyballiga (Thursdays) as our playoffs start tonight; Here's our Final LIGA Rankings & 1st Round Matchups:


(1) ID HIT THAT              (22-2)  - HIT THAT lost to its nemesis in the last series of the season in the quest for perfection; However, this squad still is the team to beat, seemingly in cruise at some points...Only question is, can they finish out a magical season after a bad ending to regular season?

(2) READY TO SERVE    (20-4)  - SERVE had a great 1st season in the LIGA , and are real contenders for the title; They were in the two spot all year, and are favs to challenge for the LIGA title...Will they stay under the radar and swoop the title?

(3) ID HIT THAT TOO     (16-8) - HIT THAT TOO finished strong, with a series win over the #1 seed. When this team is on, they can beat anyone; Question is, will they be focused on the game - or will other factors come up that have cost them key games during the season?

(4) HOME SCHOOLERS  (13-11) -  SCHOOLERS swept their 1st round opponent last week, putting them in the top 4....But because of inconsistent play, can they beat a SHANKA team at full strength? They reached LIGA 4 last season, but can their new players step up and help get them to next week?

(5) SHANKAPOTOMOUS  (13-11)  - SHANKA was up and down this season, which is how they played in past seasons as well; Injuries, and inconsistencies may have cost them a higher spot or two, but can they focus and get back to the LIGA 4? They are a talented team, no doubt.

(6) BABY GOT BACK SETS  (6-18) BACK SETS ended the season on a good note - and could be a sleeper in the tourney; just a couple seasons ago they were in the final game of LIGA Championship....Can they find that magic again?

(7) GENERATION GAP    4-20   GGAP got a W ending the season; Will GG come ready to roll in the playoffs? They usually do

(8) CHAPPELLE    2-22     CHAPPELLE  was no doubt our most Energetic team of the Season, as they brung the hype! Can they pull off one of the biggest upsets in LIGA history by winning tonight vs HIT THAT?

Regular Season Comes to End as I'D HIT THAT takes top honors

Welcome ladies and gents! With another successful season in the books and the playoffs right around the corner, we would like to announce the final standings, key points, and playoff postions for each squad in the YMCA SuperVolleyballiga on Wednesdays...

Can I'D HIT THAT win the LIGA?

Heres the final standings of the regular season

(1) ID HIT THAT           23-1   
 HIT THAT flirted with perfection, but still had a amazing regular season; now the question remains; Can they finish off a great season? Seemingly relieved from the pressure of a undefeated season, now we will see if HIT THAT can finish what they started.

(2) VINI VEDI VOLI      19-8  
V3 won 6 straight, racing past CHAOS into the 2 spot; V3 has a bad taste in their mouth from what happened at the end of last season, which stopped a dynasty in the making; Can they avenge what happened last season, and show that they are still the team to beat?

(3) CHAOS                     17-7      CHAOS finished percentage points out of second, but looks to be on the upswing with their major hitters in stride, and a strong showing in the last week; CHAOS has seen the LIGA championships before, but can they get there with this squad?

(4) MICHELLE              13-11     MICHELLE has had a up and down season since moving from Thursday after winning the title last season; They still have the horses, but haven't been as consistent, for whatever reason; No matter, as this team knows what it will take to get to the Final 4; Can they rise up and get there?

(5) BALL BUSTERS    14-13   BB  has also had a rocky season, having winning streaks and losing streaks; But BB has been in a LIGA Championship, and did knock off the #1 seed this season, being he only team to do that. Can they get back to FINAL 4?

(6) SOME LIKE IT HOT  12-15   HOT has been hot some nights, and cold others; Despite having top 3 talent, they haven't had all the pieces come together, and it has cost them games along the way; Make no mistake, nobody wants to play this team come playoffs, as they will be a tough out.

(7) ROBERTS               11-16       Easily the hottest team in the LIGA, ROBERTS has won 7 of its last 9 and has some real momentum going into playoffs; Only problem is, can they pull off a 1st round upset

(8) CHILL N SERVE    5-19    CNS lost a gang of close series this season, and could have easily won 4 to 5 more games with a play or two; Will they have enough resolve to look past their record and opponents and win 2 series (including one vs ID HIT THAT)  to get to Final 4?

(9) NOTHIN BUT NET  0-24  NBN will look to get a much needed W in the 1st round; NET has been competitive in games, but needs the playoffs in order to look to turn its season around.




It has been one of the stiffest seasons to date, with top hitters on each squad all the way down the ladder...

Will this "Rivalry" game turn things into ROBERTS favor? Or will the favored V3 handle biz?

(3) CHAOS                                    vs               (6) SOME LIKE IT HOT           8:15 pm
In which could be a classic, can CHAOS get to its 6th straight LIGA Final 4? Or will the real HOT team show up and cause some chaos?

(4) MICHELLE                              vs           (5)  BALL BUSTERS     9 pm (Game of The Week)
Our LIGA champ will enter as a 4 seed against a energetic, tough squad; This game will be a battle, although MICHELLE has to feel confident after winning a Title just last season

We will be having a Christmas Champions Party Next Wednesday Night 12/16 (9pm) @ BW3's
