Both #1 seeds lose; which one lost their series? Which series was a #ESPN Classic?

In week 6 both LIGA leaders were tested severely...

Here's the HEADLINES & results from Wednesday and Thursdays Liga games.

(WEDNESDAY)
  Weasels shock pony, knock #1 team off

     The WEASELS came into the game playing the hottest team in the LIGA.
No sweat, as the 5 seeded WEASELS gutted their way to a 2-1 series win, and also stopping the PONY win streak at 9.  While PONY was in all the games WEASELS were the better squad on the night.


NET LOVE  wins game of the week
     The LOVE got back on track with a big W over the suddenly struggling MAKE UP SETS.
NET LOVE, who had been up and down this season, has now won 2 consecutive big series and sit near the top of the LIGA.
   MAKE UP, who are the Regular Season LIGA Champs, has now lost 8 of 9, and must right the ship after blistering out of the starting gate 8-1.


 CHILL N SERVE cools down BURKS
  CNS has shown that they can play with almost anybody,  and that was no more evident than in the win vs BURKS.
 While BURKS hasn't been as great as in other seasons, CNS showed that they could soundly win in the LIGA Top Division, after winning 2 of 3 from BURKS.

 
(THURSDAY)
ONE HIT grinds out epic win over BUMP & GRIND
   It seems every week that ONE HIT WONDERS (#1 in Overall LIGA POLL) have been in the Game of the Week.
  We'll this one classifies as a possible "Series of the Year" as they pulled out a high octane, intense, 2-1 (21-18 Game 3) to stay atop the LIGA.
 While it was clear that ONE HIT was confident, B&G was confident as well, as one of their players stated before the game.
"We Ready" they said.
 And ready they were.
 However, early in the series it looked as if ONE HIT would turn the 1vs2 into another rout, as they dominated early.
 After a timeout, BUMP & GRIND regrouped and the battle was on....ONE HIT won the 1st, and then BUMP & GRIND smacked the Champs 21-9, leaving no doubt that they would have to fight to the finish.

  The 3rd game was nothing short or spectacular, as both teams held a lead midway thru...ONE HIT bigs was able to make a run, and finished the game off in championship fashion to get the win.
 It wouldn't be surprising to see these two clash in the LIGA Final Four.


SCHOOLERS defeat tough SUAB squad 
  The Schoolers is where able to be consistent once again, and now have won three consecutive series and ate out of their last 9 to move up the standings. team swap just couldn't quite get over the hump.


SMACK YA BALLS wins "Rivalry Game" 
   Coming into this game, both teams knew this one would be circled & marked on the calendar.
And SMACK YA played with the ferocity to win the big rivalry game, pitting friends and family.
 SMACK YA now moves over .500, while BUMP SET SIKE still is looking for that elusive W.


HIT FACED continues great play
   HIT FACED continued it's torrid play with a 3 game sweep over REALTOR. While REALTOR played solid, it's clear that HIT FACED has some serious weaponry and could be a real factor come playoffs.


DUCKS get on the board in series win

The DUCKS got a much needed victory last nite as  they defeated VOLLEY OLLEY.  VOLLEY OLLEY did win a game, but the DUCKS were on a mission last night.
Salute the Ducks.

Top 10 LIGA RANKINGS; Who's the best of both LIGAs? UPDATED SCHEDULE FOR TONIGHT

As we hit the stretch run for playoff season, here's the Top LIGA Rankings (Both Leagues)

(1) ONE HIT WONDERS  (Thurs) - 14-1   
 ONE HIT, who has been dominant, and had won 29 straight games before losing its last game.. They still remain at the top. Can they be stopped?


(2) RIDE MY PONY  (Wed)  -           13-2 
PONY has rode through the LIGA this season, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them possibly hoisting the championship. Question is, can they continue the dominant play that we haven't seen from them before?


(3) BUMP AND GRIND  (Thurs)    -   13-2 
BUMP & GRIND  has ascended to the top of the Liga with great play and a lot of swag. could they come in and win the league by storm?


(4) HIT FACED   (Thurs)   -                12-3 
HIT FACED moved to  Thursday we go and has shown immediate results, moving all the way up into the top four. They seem to be on the same page, could hit faced move all the way up to the top?


(5) SERVING UP A BUZZ  (Thurs)  -  11-4 
   Serving Up A Buzz Has moved up the rankings again, despite losing to the Liga champions last week. They seem to have retooled and could be a serious player for another championship.

(6) AVOID THE FALLOUT   (Wed)  -   10-5   
    ATF have gotten really hot lately,  and have seen to hit their mid-season form. despite changing their name, they still have all the tools to win another championship.


(7) HOME SCHOOLERS   (Thurs)  -    9-3   The
SCHOOLERS  have started to move upward as they normally do, the only question remains... Will they be able to last until the season ends? Or where they can be split up due to a new creation on the way?



(8) MAKE UP SETS  (Wed)             -    9-6 
  The Champs of last season's Liga regular season, has struggled a little bit this season, as they seem to still have the bad taste of not winning the championship in their mouth. Can they move forward and let the loss of last season go? Or will it haunt them for the rest of this season too?


(9) NET LOVE     (Wed)                    -    7-5 
The Champs of last  season  will look to get up the rankings as we head towards the end of the season. Net Love has never really worried about being the top seed, as they won from the 3 seed last season. Question is, can they reverse their average season and defend the title?


(10)   WEASELS  (Wed)                   -  6-6
 the Weasels have slither their way into the top 10, but voice boister more talent than that suggest. it seems that they should be in the upper echelon, but have been too inconsistent to be able to get there. can they rise up and move up the standings before the season is over?

With  the Mid Season arriving, here's the Standings going into 2nd portion of season:

  ONE HIT  Has continued where they left off from last season, reeling off win after win after win. can they be stopped? Will they lose a game?



(2) SERVING UP A BUZZ    10-2  -
  SUAB  has been  on point on point early this season, and has Play very well. With some key games coming up, could SUAB be the team to beat?



(3) HIT FACED      10 - 2  - 
 HIT FACED  has  easily been the surprise team of the league are so far, as they have really played well and ramped up their game to put them in the 3 spot. Will it last?

(4) BUMP AND GRIND       9-3  -
  B & G  has also  Stewart out and has bump and grind it to upper echelon spot in the Liga. Can they take the next step and get to the top? they have the talent.



(5) HOME SCHOOLERS     6-3  -  
SCHOOLERS  came off  a big win, And they look like they will be a contender again. The schoolers have been very consistent in the last three seasons, Can they take that final step?

(6) SMACK YA BALLS      4-5  - 
 SMACK YA BALLS  has been up and down, but seem to be on the upward trend.  can they find the rhythm and moved into the Liga top 4 before  the playoffs get here?



(7) MY REALTOR      3-9  -  
 REALTOR   have  been very competitive, but haven't quite found The rhythm to be able to consistently win every week. Can they find that consistency starting this week to move up the ladder?



(8) VOLLEY OLLEY OXEN   1-11  
VOLLEY OLLEY  has  has gotten on the board, but can they get on the board again? They have gotten better and better each week, but must remain hungry in order to move to the next level.



(9) SETTING DUCKS   0-12   The DUCKS  will  look to get on the board in the second part of the season after having a rough go in the first half. the chemistry and the camaraderie is there, can they make that extra move?



(10) BUMP SET SPIKE    0-12   BSS   will  look to get on the board tonight, as they having successfully did that yet. don't be surprised to see them make a move in the second part of the season.

Here's our rankings for mid-season for the Wednesday LIGA:

After the emotional game last week in tribute to a "Sick Teammate"

(1) RIDE MY PONY   -  10-2 
    RIDE MY PONY  is back in the #1 spot after a great last two weeks. The PONY express is on the way and could be a major force when it comes to a LIGA Championship. Last week they dedicated the game to a sick Captain;
what will it be this week?
  Could this be the "Year of the Pony?"




(2) MAKE UP SETS -  8-4 
     MAKE UP SETS  lost a tough series to PONY. And they didn't look like they had the "juice".
 The regular season champs still will be a team.to beat, but could the lag of last season's ending be affecting them this season?


(3) AVOID THE FALLOUT  -  7-5 
    ATF had a good week and now moves up the ladder after sending a statement last week in the rivalry game. We've seen this from them many many times, where they start slow, and finish fast. Which ATF will be see this week?



(4) NET LOVE  -  5-4 
    NET LOVE  had a very good week, and also moves up the ladder after a solid week. The Champs have been in the 1-4 spots usually,  and now they sit in 4. They have the weapons to make a playoff run, just will they?



(5) WEASELS  -  4-5 
    The WEASELS   will look to continue their upward trend as they try to win another series tonight. They have talent to get some key wins.  They have the talent to go deep, but can be consistent enough to get to upper echelon of the LIGA?


(6) BURKS  -   5-7 
   BURKS  took a tough one last week, as they had no rhythm or consistency & their camaraderie has been off a bit. They have the skills and have a LIGA title under their belt, but can they put it together and make that championship run like we've seen before?


(7)  CONSTANT CHAOS  -  4-8 
CONSTANT CHAOS  lost a tough series, and has been up and down all season. CC will look to get back on track and has some players that can help them do that.


(8) CHILL N SERVE  2-10 
CNS got another win tonight, but wasn't able to get the series win. They have been playing tough all season. Will tonight be the night they get that elusive series victory?
