 Bump Set Pscych rallied over Forest Bump to move on to the Quarterfinals

Top seed TRIMBLE cruises
 TRIMBLE, the #1 seed, pulled off easy 2 set win over BUMP SET PSYCH to get to final four.

CRIDGE  pulls off sweep
 Team CRIDGE was able to finish the 2nd game strong to sweep a tough CHILL N SERVE squad. After a easy 1st game, CNS came hard in game 2, but the 2 seed regained momentum late to seal the deal.

CHAMPS move back to Final Four
LAZY LIGHTNING stops tough SET-SY squad to move back to the LIGA Final Four. SET-SY played tough, took it the distance but the Champs were just too experienced late and delivered in the clutch.

SCHOOLERS finish strong, move on
 The HOME SCHOOLERS  survived a serious Battle against a former champ to move to another Final four berth.
  THEY held off a tough Serving Up A Buzz team who was also looking to play for a title and has won one a few years ago.

Can the SCHOOLERS play up to the level of the top seed? TRIMBLE has been playing at a very high level of late. The SCHOOLERS will compete to the very end, and can spurt with the best of em.

 In a intriguing semifinal, can the upstart CRIDGE take out the LIGA Champs? CRIDGE tied for the best record and have some of the best hitters in the LIGA. The LIGHTNING have been thru the wars, and kniws how to win in pressure situations.

FINAL REGULAR SEASON LIGA RANKINGS (after Week 9)

(1) TRIMBLE       22-2   - TRIMBLE  had a great season, and are definitely a favorite to grab a LIGA Championship. They own the tiebreaker against CRIDGE which gave them the top spot. They seemingly got better and better this season, and will be a tough team to beat.

(2) CRIDGE   22- 2  - CRIDGE showed that they were a top team, with a 15 game winning streak and a great run this season. They sit tied atop the LIGA. Can they finish the job?

(3) LIGHTNING    20-4 -   LAZY LIGHTNING once again showed why they will be a force come championship time. Despite losing in the last week, the LIGHTING went on 2 different winning streaks and have the horses to do it again.

(4) SERVING UP A BUZZ    14-10   -  SUAB started slow, but finished strong and grabbed a 4 spot, which will pitt them in the infamous 5 vs 4 matchup. Which SUAB will we see in the playoffs?

(5) HOME SCHOOLERS    13-11    -  SCHOOLERS  have bounced back in a major way after a tough losing streak during the season. They also have the tools and have been to the Final Four in their last appearance in the LIGA Playoffs.

Heres the Recap on the 1st round of Wednesday YMCA Volleyballiga Playoffs

BRAND     defeats   ROBERTS
 Team BRAND showed why they could be a serious contender, as they was able to knock off the champs in ROBERTS in a 3 set thriller
 ROBERTS won the 1st set, and looked every bit ready to move on. But after some adjustments, team BRAND showed why they have the tools to possibly win a championship with a gutty comeback to win games 2 and 3 to seal the deal.

OFF CONSTANTLY survives Rivalry, knocks off WILKEN

 OFF CONSTANTLY had just enough fuel in the tank to hold off Team WILKEN, who, at one point, looked as if they would be moving on. WILKEN lost the 1st game, but dominated the 2nd and was ahead in the 3rd early, when OFF regained their momentum and used great teamwork and chemistry to pull through the epic 3 set battle.

 In a rematch of last season Semifinal, can BRAND correct their mistakes and move to their first LIGA Championship?

Or will TQL show once again that they have what it takes to get it done? Despite injuries they have continued to play at a Championship Level, and have a series winning streak going.

7:15   -  (1) FERTIG      vs    (5) OFF CONSTANTLY

  In a game that will feature 2 teams who have never reached a LIGA Championship, can the top seed play the way it has all season? FERTIG started blazing fast, then tailed off, but ended on a blistering note to lock up the top seed. OFF CONSTANTLY had the best team chemistry and its energy help lead then thru the 1st round. Can they continue to vibe all the way to a LIGA Championship?

(2) CRIDGE  -   19-2 CRIDGE is eyeing top spot, as they have a shot heading into final week.


(3) LAZY LIGHTNING  -  19-2  - LIGHTNING also riding riding a long winning streak (9). Can the Champs keep it up?


(4) HOME SCHOOLERS  - 11-10 - SCHOOLERS sit in 4 spot after a bye


(5) SERVING UP A BUZZ  - 11-10   SUAB has been streaky,and right now they have taken some tough losses in the last couple weeks. Can they bounce back?

Wednesday Final Regular Season Standings; 1st Round Playoff Matchups; Volleyballin Party Info

After a tremendous season with 6 very competitive teams, heres the Final Standings for the Wednesday Winter LIGA 2017

(1) FERTIG        17-7       FERTIG was clutch down the stretch, and with it comes the LIGA Championship; Can they finish the job and grab the elusive LIGA Championship? They are riding a 9 game winning streak.

(2) TQL            15-9         TQL finished on a roll, and moved convienently into the 2 spot, to seal a 1st round bye and a legit shot at the LIGA Championship

(3) BRAND     12-12       BRAND, despite all the off the court distractions, trips, and different situations, was able to end the season on a positive note and grab the 3 seed. A team with all the tools to get the title, can they put it all together in the tourney?

(4)  WILKEN   11-13      WILKEN started fast, but stumbled late to fall to the 4 spot. Still a championship caliber squad, can WILKEN get back on track and get to the LIGA Final 4?

(5) OFF CONSTANTLY    10-14    OFF was another team, who at one point, was the top dog, before injuries and inconsistencies knocked them down the ladder. Which OFF will show up for the LIGA Tournament?

(6) ROBERTS          9-15      ROBERTS, the LIGA Champion, started slow, got on track mid season, but ended on a sour note, and now take up the rear. Can the Champs show that the regular season was a aberration? Or will it just be a disappointing end to a Championship squad?

        In what was easily the rivalry of last season, it once again comes down to these two teams as WILKEN will look to avenge the loss they took at the hands of OFF CONSTANTLY last season, dearailing their title repeat hopes in the process. With no love lost, this will be a all out war. Both teams possess players able to take over the game.
