 Here's the Recap on what went down in the West Carrollton Thursday Volleyballiga Championship

(2) ELLE DIGGS BUTT SETS   defeats  (3) HOW I SET YA MAMA

ELLE came out firing on all cylinders, and was able to take advantage of a slow start to upend MAMA in 2 sets.
In the 2nd set, MAMA showed the fire that had got them to the semifinals, but BUTT SETS used a late run to seal the deal 25-21.

(1) TRIMBLE     defeats   (4) CHILL N SERVE
Team TRIMBLE seemed to be headed for a 2 set sweep until CHILL N SERVE scored 10 consecutive points to turn a 22-13 deficit into a lead before winning in OT 28-26 to force a 3rd game and shock the TRIMBLE contingent.

TRIMBLE was able to win the 3rd game 25-17, but with it came the extra energy exerted to win which was crucial heading into the Championship series. CNS showed a lot of heart and repped well for its first time in the LIGA Semis.

2017 LIGA Championship   (Thursday)
(2) ELLE DIGGS BUTT SETS      defeats  (1) TRIMBLE  2-0

Team ELLE was able to use the break to fuel up and outlast the top seed en route to its 1st LIGA Championship. While both games were close, ELLE was clearly the team with more energy and a little more resolve to outlast TRIMBLE for the Championship.

Salute team ELLE as they stepped up when needed most.

Team PENNEY runs off one of greatest seasons in LIGA history in winning 2017 Championship

Semifinals

WEASELS upends CRIDGE
The WEASELS used high energy and took advantage of a team without 2 of its key players to snatch the semifinal victory away from CRIDGE in 2 sets.
With both teams missing key players, WEASELS showed more depth, and was able to stop CRIDGE from the vaunted runs they usually go on.

PENNEY stops CHAOS CO.
Team PENNEY continued to show why they were playing on another level as they took a close game 1 and gained control.
 CHAOS could not find its rhythm in game 2, as PENNEY was able to get into high gear and cruise to a 25-10 clinching win after a close 1st game.

2017 Fall Liga Championship:

PENNEY defeats WEASELS  2-0
Team PENNEY defeated the former champ in the WEASELS in 2 sets as PENNEY was just too focused and the synergy that the team played with was unparralled.

The WEASELS kept it close in game 1, but PENNEY found a run late in the game to seal the deal, and in game 2, the game was a 2-point game (11-9) before PENNEY went on a huge run to put a stamp on a undefeated run (30-0), only the 2nd in LIGA history.

Major shoutout to the Champs, who took nobody lightly and put together one of the greatest seasons in LIGA history.

Thursday Semifinal Matchups; 1st Round Recap; Award Show Info; Vegas Odds to Win it All

Here's the Recap on 1st Round / Quarterfinal Action in the Thursday Night Volleyball Liga:

1st Round
#7 ROGERS  stops #10 FLESINGER 
ROGERS was able to shut down FLESINGER in 2 sets to win the series.

#8 HOT TUBBERS win against #9 VIVIAL
TUBBERS continued to play hot vball with a 2-set sweep over VIVIAL. They were able to win a very close 2nd game to close it out.

Quarterfinals

#2 ELLE DIGGS BUTT SETS  reaches first LIGA Final 4
ELLE was able to cruise in the 1st round against a game ROGERS team. ELLE now reaches its first ever LIGA Final Four with a lot of momentum.

#1 TRIMBLE  ousts hot playing TUBBERS

TRIMBLE showed why they are the top team with a 2-set sweep of the TUBBERS, who were playing high level ball late in the season. Once they got their rhythm, there was no stopping the top squad.

#3 HOW I SET YA MAMA  outlasts #6 SERVING UP A BUZZ in 3 sets

In the Game of the Week, MAMA was able to win game 1, with SUAB winning game 2. In the 3rd set, MAMA showed guts and shut down SUAB to move to their first ever LIGA Final Four.

#4 CHILL N SERVE stops SHANKAPOTOMOUS in tight series

CNS continued to enjoy its best season ever in the LIGA with a  2-set sweep of SHANKAPOTOMOUS. While SHANKA kept it close both games, CNS showed a sense of confidence and skill that pushed them through with a close game in game 2. CNS reaches LIGA Final Four for the first time.

In a game that features 2 new teams in the Liga Final Four, which team will reach their first LIGA Championship? Both teams feature great players with Championship pedigree.

TRIMBLE, the only team who has played in LIGA Final Four, sits atop the LIGA and will look to try to get to another LIGA Championship. When at full strength, they have been almost unbeatable. Can CNS, a new arrival in the Final Four, show the skills, toughness, and mental capacity to defeat the most sound team in the LIGA?

Here's the Recap / Headlines of what happened in 1st round of Wednesday Volleyballiga;

REFUSE TO LOSE stops BLALOCK
REUSE TO LOSE stops BLALOCK in 2 sets to reach the Quarterfinals. LOSE played focused ball against the team who beat them a week ago in BLALOCK.


CRIDGE stops NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK 
Team CRIDGE reaches 2nd consecutive final four with a 2 set sweep of its rival NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK. After a easy first set, the 2nd was very tight, but CRIDGE was able to outlast NKOTB after a serious run by the 7 seed.

TOP SEED rolls 
Team PENNEY  was able to defeat a weary REFUSE TO LOSE squad in 2 sets; With that continues their undefeated run this season.

WEASELS hold off QUEEN CITY 
In a game that featured high energy and emotion, the WEASELS  was able to reach the semifinals once again despite the pressure applied by the feisty QUEEN CITY. THE WEASELS experience was the difference.

 CHAOS CO.   upsets TQL with late surge 
CHAOS CO.  knew they were facing a stiff challenge in the 4 seed, who was a runner up the last 2 seasons.
After trailing a set, CHAOS CO. was able to power past TQL with inspired tough play, and in the 3rd set they dominated the last portion of the 3rd set to move to the Final four for the 2nd time in the Franchise history.

Trimble Thursday Regular Season Champs; 1st round Playoff Matchups; Volleyball Party

Here's the recap on final week of the regular season (Thursday) Liga headlines:

TRIMBLE wins Regular Season despite loss
Despite losing to CNS this week, TRIMBLE is the top team (20-4) in the LIGA. When all hands are on deck? They have been almost unstoppable.

ELLE finishes strong 
ELLE continued its top play late in the season with another series win. They sit at the 2 spot and have a wave of momentum.

How I SET YA MAMA rolls 
MAMA showed once again why they are in the top 4 with a huge sweep.  With the great team play and top hitters they could be headed for a long tourney run.

CNS continues to ball 
CHILL N SERVE was able to do what no opponent had done- defeat the top seed in a series. CNS has shown they are no joke this season.

TUBBERS  get first sweep of season 
TUBBERS show why they have to be considered one of the hottest teams in the tourney after a sweep last week. Despite the record the TUBBERS have won games the last 4 weeks and won series the last 2 weeks.

PENNEY celebrates perfection; Can they keep it up thru playoffs?

Week 8 HEADLINES

PENNEY wins late, seals perfect record 

Team PENNEY did what very few teams could do- which is go the entire Regular Season undefeated in the West Carrollton Volleyballiga.

They defeated the WEASELS who gave them all they could handle in game 3, but PENNEY remained victorious even when WEASELS took  a late 17-13 lead. 

PENNEY becomes only 4th team to go undefeated the entire season. 

2 other teams won the championship, while one did not. 

CRIDGE solidifies 2 spot with series win over CHAOS CO.

CRIDGE showed they will be a player as they sealed 2 spot with tough series win over CHAOS CO. 

TQL wins both doubleheader series;

TQL pushed themselves to upper portion of the LIGA with 2 series wins in their doubleheader. Runner ups last season, could this be a push for a lengthy playoff run?

BLALOCK gets 1st season series sweep, stuns REFUSE 

BLALOCK got its 1st series win against REFUSE TO LOSE, costing REFUSE a higher spot and setting up a rematch for next week. 

BLALOCK played a complete game and now will hope to carry that momentum into next week.
