Wedesday 1st Round Recap: Top 3 Seeds advance; Champs ousted; Tonights 1st Round Playoff Matchups, Odds

Here's the Recap / Headlines of Wednesdays 1st Round:

Team BRAND going for the Slam in 1st round matchup

Top 3 Seeds Advance
    Team ROBERTS, BRAND, and TQL all answered the bell in the quarterfinals. While all 3 were tested, they all advanced in 2 games.

#1 seed ROBERTS defeated SERVING UP A BUZZ (2-0) in the quarterfinals after SUAB defeated Forrest Bump in the 8-9 game.

#2 seed BRAND defeated GILLMAN in two tough sets, while #3 seed TQL survived a tough series against a game SNYDER team.


Champions defeated by Rival as MACHINE goes down
      #5 seed OFF CONSTANTLY lost to #4 SETS MACHINE late in the season, and felt like they could win if they seen the champs again after a tough battle.
      Well they got their wish, and was able to comeback and win a 3-set thriller. SETS MACHINE looked as if they would move on, roaring back in game 1 to take the game....only to be undone in the 2nd half of Game 3 by a blistering display of winning volleyball by CONSTANTLY.
It was a microcosm of the season for the champs, who couldn't quite get on track this season.

Vegas Odds on every team winning LIGA Championship  and their key to Getting to Final Four

Lazy Lightning    -  3:2  The LIGHTNING have struck opponents all season. They need to keep playing high level and doing what they have done all season.

Lange     -    4:1   LANGE has all the tools to win, but will they be equipped to win it all when it counts?

Constant Chaos  - 6:1  Chaos have been on a roll lately; If they continue their hot trend, they should be in final four

Set Sy- & We Know It  - 5:1  SET-SY could do some serious damage and are a championship contender,  if they can find a way to get to the Final Four. They have had a very good season.

Baby Got Back Sets -  7:1 Back Sets will have to get the juice back and must have the entire squad ready to go in order to compete for the championship.

Eudora Hopsters  - 7:1 Hopsters have a intriguing team, full of talent, but can they put it all together? If so, they could get to final four.

Bump Set Psych!  - 10:1 BSP must get thru tough evening, but have the talent to do so. Dangerous team, having a breakout season.

Chill N Serve   -  10:1 CNS have been to a Liga Final Four, and will have to bring it at a high level to get there this season.

Bump Set Hoes  - 10:1  BSH will try to put together a string of good games in order to get to the Final Four

Shankapotomous 10:1 Shanka, has talent and finally played together for the first time last week; Can they get back to final four, or is it too late?
